Did you know that you could make a living setting people up? If you love playing cupid, then matchmaking may be the career for you.

The process of learning about becoming a professional matchmaker can lead you to an exciting career. Helping people find their calling in this field of love is one of my passions. I find that a great starting point to demystify this career is making it more familiar. No matter what your prior work experience you will find that you can enter this profession faster than you think by using skills that you may already have in your current profession. Think about current skills that you use every day and how those skills can benefit you in this new career. What is stopping you from playing cupid? Change often creates fear which leads to hesitation. Take a moment now to list your hesitations about working with clients helping them find love. Those hesitations might include things like “I’m not good enough, I don’t know enough, I haven’t studied enough yet, I’ll make mistakes, etc.” I’m familiar with all of those because I have been through them and they are common when transitioning into a new profession. That is why I do what I do. I love to help people discover their dream job. One of the joys I find when working with people wanting to get into this industry is the discovery of how truly fun this industry can be and how natural it may feel after you gain some basic knowledge about the matchmaking business. I wish I had someone to guide me when I started. I wouldn’t made as many mistakes along the way and would have been a lot more successful a lot sooner. 🙂
